The main purpose of Relaxation or Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage is relaxing and invigorating. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and wellness.
Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing the heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons, keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and at the same time, soothes the nerves themselves. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management.

Therapeutic massage combines the Swedish massage techniques discussed above with Myofascial massage techniques. The main purpose of Myofascial massage is to "unstick" the fibers of a muscle, releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, and relaxing and soothing the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
Myofascial massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction, applied across the grain of the muscles, not with the grain. Myofascial massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage.
Myofascial massage helps loosen muscle tissues, releasing toxins from muscles and getting blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.

A regional massage focuses on a specific problem area such as the shoulders or the neck using Swedish or Myofascial techniques. After an injury or a surgery, a regional massage can help to bring nutrient rich blood and oxygen to the injured area, increasing healing and shortening the time to recovery. It's important to remember that the injury should not be acute which can be contraindicated.

Hot Stone Therapy is a massage technique that uses heated stones to relax and massage sore muscles. Towel and Table Massage offers Hot Stone Therapy as an upgrade to any Relaxation or Therapeutic Massage. The stones can be used for their heat alone, or as massage tools used in combination with essential oils used in aromatherapy. Basalt rocks are generally used because of their heat retention properties, and are usually heated to around 125-150 degrees using hot water. The smooth, rounded stones are then placed along various points on the body to open up energy channels and promote circulation.

Towel and Table Massage offers Hot Towel, Cold Stone Face Massages as a stand alone service, or as an upgrade to any Relaxation or Therapeutic Massage. Using aromatherapy (optional), this elevation also helps reduce eye inflammation, headache and sinus pain. Face massage can also help prevent new tension lines and wrinkles from appearing by relaxing the muscles and by stimulating the blood vessels under the skin.
